At Mango Languages, our mission is to enrich lives with language and culture around the world and provide the best experience to all our learners.
What is GDPR?
GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and is a new, comprehensive data protection law that goes into effect May 25th, 2018. GDPR governs how companies around the world handle the personal data of users located in the EU. If you’re not located in the EU, the legislation doesn’t directly affect the way companies handle your data. However, we're committed to meeting our legal obligation set forth by the GDPR and protecting the minimal data that we collect from our users.
Not an EU Resident?
These changes will not impact you in any way, but if you are located outside of the EU and have questions about your account, click here to contact support.
Some of the changes users will notice include:
- GDPR Request Form that gives users located in the EU easy access to submit requests for insight into their data protection rights, plus the opportunity to submit requests for actions to be taken by Mango with respect to their data.
- A clear opt-in agreement that will appear when users next log in or sign up for Mango Languages through any of our learning platforms (iOS and Android apps, web-based access). This is a one-time consent agreement that they may reverse at any time by completing this form.
