Tis the season for the ALA Midwinter conference; and we’ve been geeking out pretty hard. This year, our theme is Bigger, brighter, Mango. If you’ve got plans to attend the show (January 24-27), stop by booth #1557 and we promise you’ll walk away bigger and brighter than ever before.
We’re spending the weekend showering everyone in library and language love with the best swag 2014 has to offer. As always, we’ll be giving out our famous smoothies (seriously, they’re addictive), and what good is a smoothie without popcorn, a pair of neon Mango sunglasses, Mango highlighters, one of our trademark orange t-shirts – and a convenient tote bag to hold all the symbols of our affection? When it comes to ALA, we pull out all the stops.
This year, we’re particularly excited to unveil some of those bigger, brighter features we’ve been talking so much about. We’ll be showing Mango Premiere™, the first and only language learning resource to teach through film, available to all libraries and institutions with a full Mango subscription. We’ll also be introducing our new user portal, Mango Connect, a beautiful and interactive interface that gives you easier-than-ever access to all of our language-learning products.
And because we’re overachievers, we also created placement tests for our most popular languages, so that you’ll know exactly where to start when you begin a new course.
When you step away from your computer, you can still keep learning on our new, free apps available on Nook® and Kindle®, along with Android™ and Apple devices. Mango mobile apps are fully functioning versions of the course experience, so you can learn anywhere, anytime.
When you arrive, look for our sign (follow the bright colors!) in the convention center. You can scan the QR code on the sign to find out what raffle prize you’ve won, and mosey on over to our booth to claim your prize, have a chat, and get more free swag. Or, pick up a Library Journal Coupon Book and enter to win a raffle prize from us that way – basically, we want you to win lots of prizes, drink lots of smoothies, and learn lots of languages. We love our libraries, and we can’t wait to hang out with you at the ALA Midwinter conference. See you soon!
