I have this crazy theory where one day in the not-too-near future we´ll all go around with chips in our brains that will enable us to automatically translate spoken foreign languages. Imagine how different walking down Canal Street is going to be! But until then, we´re stuck learning the old-fashioned way – or in the case of language-learning software, the not-so-old fashioned way.
